Below our resident tipster ‘The Stanimal’ highlights three retired horses that should be hotter than they are quite frankly.

Ace Impact ( IRE)

Standing at Haras de Beaumont (FR), for only €40,000 this 4 year-old beautifully trained horse by J-C Rouget who sourced the colt for just €75,000 at the Arcana Deauville August yearling sale in 2021 was owned in partnership by Gousserie Racing & Ecuries Serge Stempniak and breed by Mrs Waltrout Spanner was retired with a career record of six wins from six starts.

The son of Cracksman he retired with a rating of 128 placing him just 1lb behind top Japanese runner Equinox. Highlights from his glourious career was his brilliance at the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (G1) and the Prix du Jockey Club (G1).

Cracksman (GB)

Very much underrated a descent from the greatest male line of the modern era, the son of Frankel, who in turn is the son of Galileo, Cracksman stud fee is a miniscule £17,500 at Dalham Hall Stud.

Trained by John Gosden and bred by his owner Anthony Oppenheimer’s Hascombe and Valiant Studs, Cracksmans won eight of his 11 starts for John Gosden, including four G1s with career highlights being his back-to-back victories in the Qipco Champion Stakes.

Calyx (GB)

The new kid on the block and a would be champion had he not suffered a leg injury. Trained by John Gosden and owned by Mr K Abdullah is standing at Coolmore Stud (IRE) for only €12,500. The son of Kingman his career whilst short saw this three year old raced only four times winning his first three before injury struck.
