She is known as the “Queen of the Skies”. From the moment it first rolled onto the runway in 1969, the Boeing 747 was destined to change the face of air travel. The original model of this large jet airliner adopts a dual-aisle, double-decker cabin design, can carry twice as many passengers as the following models, and has a single flight range of more than 5,000 nautical miles.

The Boeing 747 revolutionized commercial aviation, giving a new generation of air travelers the opportunity to fly long distances and connect with the world in an unprecedented way.

On the occasion of Boeing’s delivery of the last 747 passenger aircraft, Breitling launched the 747 Navitimer limited edition watch to commemorate this aircraft that broke through the civil aviation industry.

Breitling CEO Georges Kern said: “It is perfect to commemorate a revolutionary large jet aircraft with a revolutionary pilot’s chronograph. The Boeing 747 passenger aircraft set off a trend in the civil aviation industry. , just like the aviation chronograph watch conveys the spirit of aviation to fashion watch fans who are passionate about it.”

In 1952, Breitling developed the aviation chronograph watch, originally designed for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). Thanks to the classic circular flight slide rule that can complete all flight-related calculations, the Navitimer has become a well-deserved pilot’s watch throughout the golden age of civil aviation.

Legendary tribute

The new aviation chronograph Boeing 747 watch is decorated with the AOPA logo at 12 o’clock, highlighting the brand’s long tradition of making pilot chronographs. The dial color draws on the color matching style of the original Boeing 747 aircraft. The milky white dial is paired with a black small dial and a red and white two-color flight slider (decorated with some blue embellishments). The words “Boeing 747” are cleverly integrated into the inner scale of the flight slide ruler. The watch also has a date display window in the small dial at 6 o’clock. Available on black alligator leather strap and seven-row metal bracelet.

Under the transparent case back, the excellent Breitling homemade 01 movement can be seen at a glance. This movement has a power reserve of approximately 70 hours and enjoys a five-year warranty. The back cover of the watch is engraved with the words “One of 747” (one of 747) and “The Original Jumbo Jet” (the original model of the large jet airliner), a deep tribute to this aircraft that has soared in the blue skies for more than half a century and changed us.
