A rising star and possible Arc winner

Our resident tipster ‘The Stanimal’ reviews the Dubai Racing Carnival this January and believes we have a star in the making ..

Possibly the most talked about horse of the moment, Kabirkhan who hails from Kazakhstan, son of US race horse California Chrome – winner of the Kentucky Derby in 2014 and the Dubai World Cup in 2016 looks to me to be a possible Arc outsider following his win at the Dubai Carnival at Meydan.

Trained by Doug Watson Kabirkhan looks a wonder horse in the making coming from an unknown trainer, placed with Doug Watson and ridden by Pat Dobbs they won twice at the Al Maktoum Challenge tournament in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Jan. 12 and Jan. 26, which saw him head straight into a Group One 5/6 favourite. Pat Dobbs was smooth throughout and upsides the leaders 3f out, he quickened just under 2f out and went clear for a very easy win.

As a fan it’s great to see Pat Dobbs after all these years be on a real good one and with Doug Watson they make a formidable team – my money is on their next race!!
