America Queen or Venetian Sun?

Our resident tipster The Stanimal gives us his insight into the world of horse racing and tips who he thinks you should be watching..

My-oh-my as previously mentioned in my earlier posts September 27th will be a day to remember however it wont tell us who the first three will be in next years 100guiness ut Newmarkets 2.23 Tattersalls Sceptre Cheveley Park Stakes (Group1) will go a log way to sort out the best 2yo filly this year, but who do we go for favourite?

Ed Walkers, Royal Fixation beat Richard Hughes America Queen owned by Jaber Abdullah by 1length that was America Queens 2nd race, her debut at Haydock produced a stunning 12 length victory after being slow to get away that day she beat Lady Gormine trained by Kevin Ryan who I like but she hasn’t been seen since that debut.

At York’s Lowther Stakes (Group 2) both America Queen and Royal Fixation were both running on in that race and I don’t think there is much bewteen these fillies although in the Cheveley Park, Royal Fixation is 7/4 with betfair and America Queen is 12/1 but Royal Fixation is being backed off the board 7/2 – 11/4 – 5/2 – 2/1 now 7/4, America Queen 16/1 – 14/1 now 12/1.

Now lets throw in KR Burke’s Venetian Sun who I told you would win the Morny ( Group1) in Deanville, so I hope you are following my blogs! So Venetian Sun owned by the owners to follow Tony Bloom & Ian McAleavy and trained by K.R Burke who beat Royal Fixation in a group 2 at Newmarket in July good-to-firm and there was only a neck between them that day but Richard Hughes ran Mood Queen lost of the 6 by 9¼lengths. Mood Queen owned by Jaber Abdull and some of the same connections as America Queen, so Richard Hughes holds a line here because Mood Queen ran 5/11 beaten by 6lengths by Royal Fixation in that group 2 York Lowther and America Queen was second 1length away so mixing all that up on form Royal Fixation comes out the winner by 3lengths but now the later had one run more then America Queen so given the improvements that can make from 2nd-3rd race.

America Queen just loses out to Royal Fixation

I put America Queen as a solid each way bet at 12/1 but my heart says Venetian Sun for the win but they will be able to throw a blanket over them at the finish, and for those who say what about the rest? I agree there is the Aiden O’Brien factor with True Love who was 2nd to Gstaad and she won the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot, carrying my money and won another group 2 at the Curragh by 5lengths and 2nd in a group 1 losing to PowerBlue by 1½ lengths but was clearly a bad day and should be ignored as the beat PowerBlue by 5¾ lengths into 3rd in her previous Curragh outing, so obviously on her best form she could win 3/1betfair.

Not changing my mind but looking at her group1 form and her win against stable companion Gstaad and if she has Ryan Moore riding I would say she will win a head of Venetian Sun but Ryan won’t be riding, I can’t see anything else winning in a big field.
