Bulova continues to pay homage to the king of swing with its latest limited-edition timepiece to join its exclusive and much-coveted Frank Sinatra Collection with the “Chairman of the Board” watch..
Inspired by Bulova’s iconic 1936 “President” model, the new timepiece combines the vintage charm of Bulova’s classic art deco design with the elegance that characterized Sinatra’s style. The link between Bulova and Frank Sinatra dates back to the 1950s, when the brand sponsored Sinatra’s television show, cementing a bond that has endured through the decades.
The new ‘Chairman of the Board’ watch features a 18k gold-plated stainless steel rectangular case designed with intricate stepped case sides and flanks. Under a double curved sapphire crystal, the rich black dial is enhanced by gold-tone hour markers and hands, with Sinatra’s iconic fedora marking 12 o’clock. The date window at 6 o’clock remains subtle yet functional, offering added versatility to the watch. On display through a see-through case back, this luxurious timepiece is powered by a Swiss automatic movement with 25 jewels and a power reserve of 38 hours. Adding to its distinctiveness, the back of the watch case is further customised with the depiction of the Sinatra family crest– a crowned lion reaching for the stars.
Complementing the watch further is a fine brown calfskin leather strap finished with a new foldover buckle in matching 5-micron 18k gold plating.
Limited to 500 individually numbered pieces, each “Chairman of the Board” timepiece is price at £1’495.00 and is delivered in a lacquered box with a limited-edition card and plaque, and a Frank Sinatra storybook.
