The Juddmonte operation has announced its European mating plans for 2024 with a stellar field of mares lined up for the world-leading stallion Frankel ..
He is the world’s most expensive stallion with a fee of £350,000 the legendary Frankel, the British Thoroughbred racehorse who was unbeaten in his fourteen-race career and was once rated as the the highest-rated racehorse has secured his second GB and Ireland Sire Championship in three years siring 11 Group 1 winners worldwide of which seven were new, more than any other Northern Hemisphere-based stallion.
He was also the leading sire in Europe by prizemoney for the third consecutive year with earnings just shy of £11 million, nearly £5 million clear of his nearest rival.
Unsurprisingly his book of mares from Juddmonte includes 27 stakes winners and/or producers. These include the Gr.1 winners Announce, Emollient (the dam of Frankel’s stakes-winning daughters Raclette and Ardent), Juliet Foxtrot, Midday, Proviso, Special Duty (the dam of the highly promising Frankel colt Task Force), the newly purchased Teona, and Viadera. He is also covering the Gr.1 producers Bird Flown (dam of two-year-old Gr.1/Classic winner Siskin); Concentric (Enable’s dam); Portodora (dam of Arlington Million winner Set Piece); and Repose (the dam of multiple Gr.1 winner State Of Rest). Mares returning to Frankel who have already produced Group winners by him include Time Chaser (the dam of 2023 Gr.3 winner Time Lock), Listed winner Principal Role (dam of 2023 Gr.3 winner Flight Leader) and Zatsfine (the dam of Gr.3 winner Delaware).
Other Group winners visiting him include Prix Penelope winner Agave, Rockfel Stakes winner Isabelle Giles, US Graded stakes winners Nay Lady Nay and Grand Jete, Musidora winner Shutter Speed and Gr.2-winning sprinter Soffia.
