Royal Ascot round-up

Our resident tipster ‘The Stanimal’ gives his round-up of the five-day Royal Ascot festivities along with some insight on who to watch out for ..

I like the look of French 3 times winner unbeaten Delius a Frankel colt out of Whatami, trained by J.C Rouget and owned by Magnier, Smith, Tabor and Westerber. This 3yo won comfortably in Chantilly on Sunday 16th June winning by 2lengths over a mile and a half, kept on strongly in this group 3 and looked a nice sort.

The Chesham was graced by another future classic winner (1000Gineas 2025) dam Mecca’s Angel, sire Frankel, Bedtime Story flew friendly in the 7f event at Royal Ascot and it was remenent of the great Frankel winning his 2000 himself, winning by 9½ lengths. 3/1 from 10/1 for the one thousand guineas but I think she wont keep that price for long evrn though she’s short, but WOW the way she ran and won she has champion written all over her, can’t wait to see her run again. So exciting.

Bedtime Story leaves fellow horses in her wake

So pretty early into the season it looks like we are in for an exciting 2yo campaign. Ascot also showed us another Aiden o’Brien hotpot in Fairy Godmother winning the Albany and looks very good, I was also impressed by the filly out of dam Scintillating and sire Night of Thunder.

There was whispers that WhistleJacket was the best of Aiden’s although he lost in the Norfolk but I think we can forgive that run. Shareholder for Wathnan Racing and winner of the Norfolk will challenge for sprintings highest contest next year. Trained by Kurl Burke the Middleton Moor maestro really is heading to be the challenger to Aiden O’Brien in the coming years and we don’t even know what 2yo’s he has to come.

My tip for the Champion Sprinter Inisherin for kevin Ryan won well at Royal Ascot’s Commonwealth Cup group1 2¼ lengths, very impressive for Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum who has a group of horses that only come around every 20-30 years as he said after the race, he also mentioned that all his good horses will stay in-training for us all to enjoy for at least the next year, well done him! His colours are competing at 29% win rate and at +£44.36 for a level £1 stake, I suggest you look out for his colours yellow with 3 black spots across the chest and 4 black spots on the cap.
