Smartphone makers Xiaomi has unveiled an all new electric hypercar the stunning SU7 Ultra a souped-up version of its SU7 sedan..
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype is equipped with three Xiaomi developed motors, including two V8s and one V6s motor, providing a maximum horsepower of 1,570, surpassing that of the 1,479 hp Bugatti Chiron but falling short of the Rimac Nevera. Xiaomi claims that the SU7 Ultra can go from 0-60 in 1.97 seconds and hit the 200mph mark in 5.96 seconds. Top speed limited to 217 mph (350 kmph).
Composed mainly of carbon fiber panels the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is relatively light for an EV weighing in at 4,188 lbs (1,900 kg). In fact, the prototype is lighter than the new BMW M5, the Tesla Model S Plaid and Porsche Taycan Turbo GT.
With a release date schedulled for mid 2025 no price has been revealed as yet but one can assume the SU7 Ultra will only be slightly more expensive than the existing SU7 models, which start at $29,700 for the standard version and around £33,600 for the SU7 Max version.
