NEOM’S Sindalah Island opens for business

Sindalah, NEOM’s luxury island resort and global yachting hub in the Red Sea has become the first Neom region to be completed in Saudi Arabia as part of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s vision

First announced two years ago in December 2022 the project involved a workforce of 30,000 employees across four local contracting partners and up to 60 subcontractors. Situated in Saudi Arabia’s northwest, five kilometers off the coast, it was promoted as a brand-new luxury island global yachting destination to rival that of Monacco

Spread over 9 million sqft the island features premium accommodations, including 440 rooms, 88 villas, and 218 serviced apartments, 38 restaurants and venues including the Sindalah Yacht Club which has a 86-berth marina, a beach club a 6,474-yard par-70 golf club course as well as 36 retail outlets and yacht management services.

Designed by yachting architecture firm, Luca Dini it’s position in The Red Sea ensures that it is only 17hours by sea from key Mediterranean destinations making it an ideal stopover for European, Saudi, and those heading to the Caribbean during the winter.

With an aim to welcome upto 2,400 guests per day by 2028, Sindalah Island aim to bring the ambitious vision of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s futuristic city to life and diversify the economy of Saudi Arabia and reduce its reliance on oil.
