Our resident tipster ‘The Stanimal’ offers some insight into who he thinks we should be watching ..
2yo Entrust and by his name you can probably tell his Dam is the great Enable, one of the greatest fillies, 19runs, 15wins and nearly €11million banked for Juddmonte and the great man himself K.Abdullah. Sire Dubawi an exceptional sire, 25years old on Jan 1st and a unbeaten 2yo himself for Goldolphin and less not forget an Irish Guinea winner.
Back to Entrust, trained by John & Thady Gosden, Entrust is one of my horses to follow and right up there, this is history making and you heard it here first! Personally if a horse is owned by Juddemonte and trained by the Gosdens get on them always, as its a combination of pure winners going right back to Sadler’s Wells.
Another unraced 2yo to watch for probably next year is an exciting Justify colt trained by A.P O’Brien but breed by Orpendale. Dam is Liscanna owned by Derrick Smith and Mrs John Magnier & Michael Tabor is the suitably named Supreme Justice.
Joseph Patrick O’Brien seems to have a wealth of 2yo talent in his yard Monogram for one Juddemonte colt. Folson Blue with the winter behind him will be alot stronger at 3yo and will also be challenging for classics after a nice 2yo campaign. Same goes for Desert Castle for Charlie Appleby plus some more obvious ones like Darkness Falls for A.P.O’Brien who bear Desert Castle in the Dewhurst.
I’ve seen some fair looking horses from Kevin Philippart de Foy for Amo Racing Limited like Church of Gold a Pinatubo colt, looks pretty smart as does Herefordshire a Frankel colt.
