The new limited edition Louis Vuitton Escale masterpiece combines platinum guilloché engraving and striking colbalt blue grand feu enamel..
The stunning new Louis Vuitton Escale design is said to be inspired by the brand’s iconic trunks with the noticeable “rivet” lugs that sweep up the side of the case reminiscent of the metal corner caps of the brand’s traditional trunks.
The striking dial an ode to traditional métíers d’art skills like guilloché engraving and champlevé and flinqué Grand Feu enamel techniques required four artisans to complete. The colbalt blue dial ripples with texture creating the illusion of the deep blue sea.
Encircled in a platinum caseback of platinum each quarter-hour-marker is made of solid 18k white gold, accompanied by lance-shaped hour and minute hands and a lightweight titanium central seconds hand. Featuring a LFT023 chronometer caliber developed in collaboration with Le Cercle des Horlogers, the movement features a 22-carat rose gold micro-rotor, complete with a 50-hour power reserve.
To complement the dial, the watch is paired with blue calf leather strap. Limited to just 50 pieces, the Louis Vuitton Escale Platinum has a price tag of €75,000 EUR / £65,000.
